Rock climbed for the first time yesterday with Michael. My fingers and booty are gonna be sore all week, but I’m ready to climb again. Michael, of course, was real good at it, and I felt like a champion each time I reached the top with my sweaty fingers — kicking my fear of heights in the butt.
Yesterday was my best friend’s bridal shower. With cutesy cupcakes, silly games, and gifts and gifts of honeymoon worthy lingerie, it was a blast celebrating this bride-to-be. This was the last wedding festive till her wedding. I can’t wait to see her face glow on her wedding date. To you, Mrs. Bishop. Xo
Today my sister had a school assignment that asked her to visit a cultural center and explore. She chose the Chinese Cultural Center in Phoenix as her spot and asked me to be her field trip buddy. It was beautiful. They had a market full of food we’ve never seen before or even imagined eating ourselves. They had a beautiful space that gave a taste of what their treasured cities possess, with stand expressing how sacred the beauty of this earth is to them. It was great to see and explore a space and culture I’ve never had the chance to before. A place and day that helped us understand others and ourselves.
Weekend adventures with this handsome lad. A day in Flagstaff to walk around the woods, spotting some critters, with long drives to sing and dance to bluesy tunes. A weekend so wonderful with you.
